Live street installation in Deptford, making samosas and collecting stories and recipes from residents. The piece was conceived in response to widespread gentrification of the area, as part of the MA Art/Politics show Liminade looking at border/boundary transgressions.
Installed outside the gallery space, it invited people who would otherwise have walked past to engage with the work of artists through a practice at once delicious, nourishing and familiar, and invited discussions around identity, migration, and cultural histories of place.
